The End of Lenten Poems for Leaden Minds 2026
Happy Easter to the 20+ subscribers of Lenten Poems for Leaden Minds and to all who are out there reading this. I truly appreciate every person who has spent the time to read my work. 20+ subscribers is not a large number, but when I look at the stats, it is clear most subscribers have, indeed, engaged with my work, which is what every writer hopes for. Just know that showing up for you every day during Lent drove me to show up for myself, and I am better for it. Maybe not holier or a better poet but certainly better in some way that escapes articulation.
I’m not sure what I will do with these poems and whether I will keep them up on Substack. My goal would be to publish them in some way either through a 3rd party publisher or my own publishing company HeavySixer Productions LLC. But for right now, I’m in the final stages of getting my novel, New Stanton, ready to be published. I just signed off on the back cover and wraparound, so the next step would be a proof copy.
